There is a match thread for predictions you know, with an amusing homage to Pap too.

Right - executive decision taken - table at the Stable booked for 12.30 tomorrow

Hope that’s ok with everyone

Arse and double arse. I’m on call and couldn’t find a colleague to cover the several hours needed on Saturday to go to the match. Bollocks.

Bletch is usually free from match commitments, how hard is the work?

Letsbe wants your ticket!

Unlucky Fowllyd, you’d think someone else would jump at the chance to tug off sailors down at the docks for a couple of hours.

Fucking hell, I’m dying… I’ve had migraines since Wednesday so it was inadvisable at best to drink last night. No idea what’s that and what’s hangover but I’m in proper distress here. Will be lucky to make the match. :lou_facepalm_2:

Although that does mean we’ll win as every good spell this season for Saints has come when I haven’t been in attendance.

I am in the city. The missus got me up at a ridiculous hour. Hired a motor for the weekend. Paid for a compact, but got given a Mercedes 220D. That was a nice drive down.

I would also just like to say that while other forums have build up threads, match threads and aftermath threads, I am justly proud that our convention is to have just two.

The game and the beers. As it should be.

If it was just a hangover I’d let this fly, but when I spent most of the night in so much pain that I was hallucinating…

At one point I woke and saw that my watch said ‘five’ (yes, spelled out like that - Android watch). I was so out of it that I was convinced I’d slept for 16 hours and missed the match!

Calling Cholula Kid to the Stable. The Pap Sermon is commencing and your absence is a concern :lou_wink_2:

Hope you’re enjoying your beers and ciders. You bastards.

I’m trying. I’m trying. In The Alex. Got people I’m trying to shift with me. Inertia’s ruling.

SO5 and I did a Sotonians scorcher each. We feel suitably scorched.

Yesterday wasn’t a great turnout. TheCholulaKid should feel ashamed of himself for not getting his arse 200 yards down the road when I made a 480 mile round trip for the match. Was just myself, Bucks and SO5 in the Stable. SO5 had booked a table for ten, so we had to put up with one of the staff getting slightly arsey when only three people turned up.

I met intiniki in the Firehouse following the game. We played a bit of pool, and in the process, upset some mush on the fruity because he apparently won the last game and it was winner stays on. After quickly defeating intiniki, I kicked his arse, pulling bank shots and left handers into the bargain.

That was enough for us, so we headed our separate ways. I got a taxi to the Stile and had a couple of beers there. The same mush turns up at the Stile, asks for a rematch, and gets his arse kicked again  He then claims that he hacks computers for a living, a claim that was quickly demolished with a couple of follow-up questions. I have to say that I admired the sheer front of the cunt. The worry is that in a few years, he’ll have perfected his patter and will be defrauding old dears or something.

Need a better turnout for Liverpool, yo.

Echoing Pap, thanks to SO5 for booking the ever reliable Stable. It was the worst turnout in my memory of forum matchday drinks for sure, though we gossiped like bitches about those who were missing.
