Should I call in a vacation day?

I’ve just had the cable guy…Hold on, let me start this again.

The cable guy has just been at my house for 3.5 hours! Yes, 3.5 hours fixing my internet!..I have to go to work in a couple of hours now, but after he was here for a couple of hours, I startred to wonder if he would take any longer and I would need to call off work just to accomodate him.

You know how that works, once you have the idea of a day off, and a half valid excuse, it starts to become an obsession. The bastart finally left, leaving me time to go to work, but now I want my fucking day off!!

Should I call the cable guy back and tell him that he didn’t quite satisfy my needs, and I want him back? Should I go to work and try to forget about him?..My favourite idea is to just to pretend the world that he was here longer than he was, pulling my wires, handling my megabits and leaving it too late for me to go to work at all.

Advice please. I will abide by whatever the first poster advises, if it is within the realm of physical possibility and does not involve a water melon.

I am taking all advice into consideration and rejecting any that tells me to go to work.

Footnote: My internet is better…but still not right. Fuck it!!!
