Should the Old Firm do business in England?

As per subject line. What do we reckon?

Shaun Harvey, the English Football League chief executive, says that his members will decide whether Celtic and Rangers can join a new ‘fifth division’ planned for the start of the 2019-2020 season.

The 72 EFL clubs are being asked for their opinions on how the Football League expands to four divisions of 20 teams each, as part of the ‘Whole Game Solution’. The two Scottish clubs have long been considered a possibility for the new ‘fifth division’ and Harvey says the final decision will be down to his members.

    1. Yep.
    1. Don’t care.
    1. Don’t know.
    1. Nope.

No.

No dice.

Really dont want that sectarian shit invading our football…

nope

and kick out Cardiff and Swansea while you are at it

However it would make it harder for the Skates to get out of L2 if 6 L1 teams are parachuted in

Are we talking about them coming into the new 6th Division? Or being parachuted into the Chumpionship or whatever it’s called these days

The idea is that each division shrinks down to 20 teams, like the Premier League, making another division from the dropped teams.

No idea where Rangers and Celtic would start.

I’m for the idea, and I disagree with Chutney Ferret. I reckon you’d see the sectarianism come out of their game, if anything.

I would like to see British Cup which involves all of the English and Scottish teams, but not Scottish teams in our league thank you.

Don’t care. Cardiff and Swansea ain’t English and I don’t have an issue with them.

I’m ok with them in Football League tbh. No problem. Let 'em do it. I wouldn’t tell them now, but I would ensure they’re never allowed in Prem League tho, cos that’s what they really want. They want our Premier League Billions. It would be maximum lols if they spend 6 yrs fkn around playing Fleetwood and Crawley etc every week, and finally get to top of Championship, and then we say, what? Premier League? Nah mate. We’re not having you sweaty cunts up here srs.

Seeing as Scotland is angling to leave the UK after Brexit why the hell should we let them play in our Football League?

Naa…sod them.

I would not place such restrictions upon them.

Think it would be good for the teams, the league and both countries. Think it would be very cool to go to an away fixture in Glasgow. Much of the enmity that exists between England and Scotland have exists because of ignorance. As odd as it may sound, alcohol fuelled ambassadors travelling back and forth mightn’t be a bad idea.

England for the English!

No way should they be allowed in.

The welsh clubs are allowed in because when the leagues were set up Wales was not a real country only a principality of England. Scotland is a seperate country. could you see PSG playing in the Bundesleague Although the Germans did want Paris at one stage.

IT’s bad enough with the franchise Wimbledon, let alone franchises from Scotland coming down.

That is completely different. They’re not going to be moving their stadiums to Chipping Norton.

Haha - no surprize there… :lou_wink: and yet still associated with our league… It would also kill Scottish football…

Everton started life as a Catholic team. Liverpool were a Protestant one.

These days, relatively few people know that and both teams have fans from both denominations.

Have you spent much time in Glasgow? That’s a serious question, btw.
