Sir Alex Ferguson, who led Manchester United to 38 trophies during 26 years in charge, has had emergency surgery on Saturday for a brain haemorrhage.

Shit man, I hope he pulls through that. For my money the best that’s ever done the job and seems like a decent fella with it.

…yeah but it was easier to say that after he retired.

Mrs Bletch, in a startling display of ignorance and a lack of compassion, said of the bleed on the brain “he probably did it chewing gum”.

His autobiography is a good read and he really does come across as a good bloke.

Hope to see him chewing bees in the stands at Utd again soon.

More hopeful news

Seems like a genuinely decent fella. There are always tales from lower league managers, ex players and those generally involved with the game saying that he was always one of the first to offer support, advice or condolences whenever they found themselves in a wide variety of difficult circumstances. Seems like he really is the Grandfather of football. Hope his recovery is swift and complete.
