I’ve not been having much luck with the betting this season, so i thought I’d throw it out there to other Sotonians for some of their great football wisdom. I’ll pick the 6 best “liked” selections for a team to win and stick a few quid on an accumulator. If there are any winnings I’ll stick the money in the kitty at the next meet up I can manage.

I had a fucking blinder on Boxing Day - £10 acca netted me £498. Since then though, I’ve had the Faecal Touch and need some luck too. Happy to play along, by the way.

Had a blinding run start of the season. Basically everything I touched landed. Reckon I was about £2.5k up.
Then it left me, and couldn’t hit a barn door so decided to stop for a while.
Made a pretty triumphant return last week. Hit a 14 fold, returning £357 off £2. Was 1 Goal off landing a 836/1 10 fold too. Ended the weekend £500 up.
Would be up for playing along. Though, doing my research the other day, Prem fixtures aren’t kind for it this weekend.
I tend to run 14 team Accas on either European Elite or Rest of World elite. Tend to net a few hundred off a fiver once a month or so…

It’s still fun, mate. Especially when I sold the curtains and the kids Xmas presents last week. the look on their faces!

Good idea dexter. I have been thinking about getting something like this up and running for the sotonians charity next season so I’ll give this a go and keep working on the format for later.
Are we talking all leagues?
Anyhow, I’ll go for Middlesbrough to beat Blackburn in the Championship.

I have had a pretty season with getting this season, but got my first win the other night since mr long stepped up and scored the first goal against Watford. A nice £321 on Wednesday, which cleared my credit cards… Nice.
I love betting but do not bet more than I can afford.
I used to play fruit machines in my teens, my fucking god I used to get paid, buy a couple of CDs, pay my rent and blow the lot down playland in Portswood. Then spend the rest of the week working in Pizzaland so I could eat and get my hours up to 70/80, ready for the next payday day off! Crazy! I do not go near them now. There used to be old ladies that would put a sign on them and go over the pawn shops, so they could get money to at least get even, so they could buy back what they pawned at a higher price. Sometimes you would put £200 in and then win £70/£80 and feel really happy like you had won! But that sick feeling when you realise that you are completely out and start the long walk home, penniless.
I now agree with the STOP when it stops being fun!
I find the English league so unpredictable, but still bet on a Saturday, but most of my winnings come from games abroad, between teams I have never heard of. The leagues abroad tend to have their teams that win pretty much every week. Here, no fucking idea who is going to win one game to the next and there is normally one spanner in the works, that fucks up the whole bet!
My god just looked at the prem fixtures. I would only confidently predict Spurs and Liverpool for a win!
