My brother-in-law is building a shed and has been for over a year. He is now running out of garden and getting bigger than the house! Crazy!

Ah good memories. Reading was my first festival too. Halcyon days of '06, fuck just dawned on me that was 10 years ago.
I shalln’t tell you what I got up to, other than to say it was great fun, and I’m sure Kid C_S will also have a great time!

Yes, there’ll be lots of late nights, and fizzy drinks, and junk food. Just keep them on some decent dinners for a week or two and it’ll all be sweet.

Eldest C_S offspring back from Reading
Had a great time and came back remarkably sober - but more importantly in one piece.
All that good worry wasted!
She’s already found herself in a few crowd clips in the BBC iPlayer footage & planning next summer.
Best comment was “Saturday evening was weird because the crowd filled up with old people”. I gently pointed out that the Red Hot Chilli Peppers were no spring chickens and that me and Mrs C_S had seen them in Brixton years ago before they became well known.

There are sexual predators at festivals.
How do I know this?
When my, then, 17 year old daughter first went to Reading, I posted about it on TSW.
Bear, who had also been at Reading, then posted a work of (hopefully) fiction where he met a 17 year old girl who he had sexual congress with.
From memory he described her as bald and talking like The Butler from Downtown (sic) Abbey - two of my apparent characteristics.
I grilled the daughter about it but she denied everything.
However the next day her mother found all of her Teddy bears discarded in a bag by the bin.
Something had traumatised her.
