I’ve spent my life being told by my mates I’m a northerner (family connections to Doncaster, and living in Leeds for a while) and my family telling me a Southerner. I’ve never fit in anywhere. :sadkrg:
At least that map makes some sort of distinction.

I honestly had no idea that when you made that remark about a love-rival on the Isle of Wight (on a SWF thread some months ago) that it involved such an intensely personal episode in your life. If I had have known I would never have bought it up, especially in such a flippant fashion. I feel pretty bad about doing so. Perhaps I should also add that your remark on the SWF thread was the only knowledge I had of this episode; I certainly don’t know any of the characters involved. I haven’t lived on the Island since 1996.
Anyway, Pap, I’m glad that you and your missus got through that difficult period.
There are lessons for all of us here, I suspect.

If there’s one thing I learned through those three years, it’s that everyone is a bit mental close-up, and that it’s the mental you can live with that’s what matters.
