Steven 'Hotshot' Davis

Has scored twice for Northern Ireland tonight. NI qualify for the Euros.

Yep MotM by a long way…absolutely everywhere, plus the goals…one a tap in and the other a header from 18 yards.

So piss off those who slate him on the other place.

Great night for Saints’ Irish lads, with Shane Long scoring The Irish Republic’s winner against Germany!

Steven Davis, Southampton goal machine!..la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la…

Davis had gone from ‘unsung hero’ to copping flak for a percieved lack of something that’s not tactically asked of him- it’s more of a bonus when he’s able to contribute.

We soon miss him when he’s not in the team…

He’s yet another clear indication of the need to base opinions of players on facts, rather than suppositions.

The header was pure instinctive quality. Now if only he had had less time to think about those chances againsts Spuds last year!

Delighted for him though. He works hard and deserves some of the limelight now.

I prefer this one though!

Virgil made his debut for Holland and they won 2-1 in Kazakhstan. Strange that it took a move to “little ol’ Saints” before he gets picked.

He can’t be far off an England call up with this form.

Do you mean that all the time I’ve spent in Itchen North screaming “Good man, Steven!” in my best shouty NI accent whenever he takes a throw or a corner has been wasted?

:lou_eyes_to_sky:

Now this is very strange…

Yeah, Paul McGrath retired years ago. Why are they still going on about him, they’re not Villa!

Northern Ireland just got a 1-1 draw with Finland, which puts them at the top of their group and presumably makes them seeded.

By all accounts you love to seed a N. Irisher Pap. Let’s just leave this one to Sep Blatter and FIFA.
