Strange Goal Difference Stats in The Prem

Outside of The Mighty Southampton, with a Goal Difference of Zero, only WBA on -2 and Palace on -8 anywhere near us.

The next lowest GD above Zero is Evertons +21 :astonished: Excluding the two mentioned above the nearest below O are Leicester and Burnley on -12 each.

I find it quite bizarre that there hardly any teams in the Middle Zone. So despite all of our moans and groans (and huge misfortunes) about our keeper and defenders, they haven’t actually done too badly compared to most of their peers!! And if our midfield and attackers had scored even a small fraction of the absolute numerous easy chances they’ve had we’d be definitely pushing Everton and Arsenal for 6th Place, even more so when you take into account how many of the goals we have conceded have been where we have shot ourselves in the foot!! How Crazy is that FFS :cool:

Just so you know your efforts haven’t gone completely unnoticed Eric, I thought I’d show a bit of interest.

These stats are quite remarkable and highlight that even without VVD and Josie and with a keeper showing 70% form, our defence is a long way from being leaky. Mind you it does seem to be a particularly high scoring season in the prem so it’s reassuring to see in black and white, it’s not against us.

Not happy with the Everton stat tho’ :lou_angry:
