The Ashes Down Under - 2017-18

Welll 479 - 4 at close of play is not a bad guess

Did you have money on it?

Nope not in the land that has banned personal VPN & blocked all VoIP calls again

That sounds like when I was there and the Internet first started up

It was Banned

Duterte has banned all the Porn networks in the Philippines.

Look on the bright side. Think of how much you will save on kleenex!

Absoloutly nothing Porn is for work but if you cant download it you only have the old stuff.

Obviously Company PC police prevent porn being downloaded so it has to be taken in on wait for it

Hard Drives.

No Hard drives

NB Company pay for Kleenex whilst at work :lou_lol:

Back to the cricket both Marshes got century’s

A bore draw result this is

It doesn’t get any better

Now 86-4

  1. England slip to 68-4
  2. Stoneman 0, Cook 10, Vince 18, Malan 5
  3. Two wickets for Lyon
  4. Aus 649-7 dec - lead of 303
  5. S Marsh 156, M Marsh 101
  6. Moeen 2-170, Crane 1-193

We will actually lose this

They will sack the captain but keep him in the team to undermine anything the new manager does and we are back to square one.

NB they will not sack him until a defeated series from the Kiwi’s.

What you've missed...

England are facing a 4-0 series defeat, unless they can bat out day five, with only six wickets remaining.

The tourists closed day four on 93-4, with Joe Root unbeaten on 42, despite taking a whack to the fingers, and Jonny Bairstow 17 not out.

Australia racked up the runs on a scorching day in Sydney, with temperatures climbing into the 50s in the middle. Brothers Shaun and Mitchell Marsh both completed their second centuries of the series, celebrating both with each other.

They put on 169 to grind England down, with the hosts finally declaring on 649-7, a lead of 303.

Mark Stoneman went for a duck, lbw to Mitch Starc. Alastair Cook was bowled by a Nathan Lyon ripper. James Vince edged off (shock horror). Dawid Malan was trapped lbw by Lyon.

They lost by 123 runs and an innings

This thread is now completed solved and can be closed left to die and fall down the pages

Goodnight

What a crock of shit.

But enough about Joe Root’s health.

Well done Jimmy Anderson and Malan but after that the bowling just didn’ have the zip.

Kiwi pitches will suit the bowlers better. Just need to sort out Moeen’s head and the CPS.

From Aussie Saint

I think Sky Sport dodged a bullet when they lost out in the bidding war with BT Sport. Be interested to know how many people stayed up all night to watch this shower of shit roll over. :lou_facepalm_2:

Boycs losing it in interview with Jimmy Anderson.

I’m off! Love it

OK so I am dumb enough to continue this thread…

Anderson says the tour has not been disastrous.

Meantime Bayliss says he will step down, when his contract runs out after the 2019 ashes, because: “a new voice and a different coach often reinvigorates things”.

Too many WTFs to even start :lou_facepalm_2:

County cricket, wickets, weather, not enough time, too few schools have the money to play it and the old boy network are all at fault here, lets not forget we also have always played attritional boring wear them down cricket which isn’t good for the 4/5 day game hence why the short forms of the game for cricket lite fans has stormed ahead.

We simply don’t have the talent in the team or coming through, its poor, we can’t bat as a team for a day let alone have some players coming off for the next morning, we don’t have pace for wickets abroad, we have no spinner, we’re 3 batsmen (I am being kind here) short in the line up and there should be no fudging around the issue.

The excuse of we competed at some point in the 5 games but weren’t ruthless enough is an insult to any cricket fans intelligence and akin to the nations football teams excuses, one thing this Country does excell at is excuses, I don’t want excuses I want the reasons for failure and them either to be addressed or to be acknowledged.

You clearly follow Bumble on Twitter Bazza :sunglasses:

That debate has been raging a few weeks now.

Simple answervcricket and golf have problems. Attention span of yoof/Time it takes to play.

Then we add all the school trouble and the local leagues/villages.

I played 20 over midweek league games before it was called T20 and Sunday friendly village cricket. Neither would be easy these days, I have to post on here and how can I take Instagram pics standing at slip?

I love the game even though I am a poor cricketer myself, its a game for the priveleged, priveleged of time, money and opportunity, its a minority sport so I can see why they have sold out but it hasn’t improved the long form obviously and the rest of the World is even worse, if it wasn’t for India the long form would be redundant bar the Ashes.
