Joshua wins! He punched the smaller dude enough until his brain stopped functioning
ā¦is one way of looking at itš
Another would be that it was a slightly premature stoppage by the ref. Takam in my humble opinion didnāt look that close to his brain stopping functioning at that exact point. That said he had no real chance of winning despite a very credible performance. It certainly showed that Joshua still has a fair bit to improve on which after only 20 fights youād expect.
Interesting, Bristol. You decry the violence of the sport yet make light of potential violence inflicted.
Donāt you just hate hypocrites Pap?
It was a flippant comment, made on the spur of the moment.
Lighten up, really no wonder no one posts here anymore
I like this site, I post deliberate contrary stuff to keep the conversation going
Sorry Bristols, I think that one went over your head. I was not having a go at you, just a polite jab back at pap as he was calling you out for changing a view on something when he self-confesses to making it up as he goes along - i.e. change the rules to suit him.
I was ready to make amends with pap but the soviet thing is a piss take.
Itās what you make it, sir. From the outset, youāve chosen to take the piss out of it, so Iām surprised youāre disappointed with the outcomes.
Find better sources of grievances, Tokyo. The world has plenty of inspiration.
I will take this off this thread pap to itās own one or you can PM me but you know it is BS and this āit is what you make of it thingā is even bigger BS, save it for your kids.
Oh my lordy
Truth in every word - efficient
Thereās some boxer bloke in town this weekend. All the krew have got their knickkers in a twist and desperately searching for Benali stickers t photo bomb him.
Oh yeah that bloke in the tweet above.
As the siteās resident boxing expert, I am pleased to confirm that Tyson Fury will return to the ring.
His first bout will be against Thunderlips.
Great to see a reasonably well populated thread dedicated to the Sweet Science. Without doubt my second favourite sport and I still get the gloves on occasionally (most mornings when I am at home).
I was watching the press conference today between Billy Joe Saunder and Martin Murray and have to say, it feels a little unfair that BJS is having to fight someone like Murray. As durable and tough as Murray is, heās hardly the same level.
BJS should be wih the elite and I hope he will get the winner of Canelo & GGG. For the record, I think he beats Canelo.
Just for fun/interest, these are my favourite boxers of all time:-
-
Joe Calzaghe
-
Lennox Lewis
-
Chris Eubank Sr
Boxers I love to watch at the moment:-
Vasily Lomachenko
Chris Eubank Jr
Anthony Joshua
Olexsander Usyk
GGG
Carl Frampton
Nice choices @gwc
I would take Benn over Eubank snr. His early career was such explosive boxing and the demolition of Gerald McClellan was almost as sweet as Calzaghe doing a number on Jeff Lacy.
Think we are quite spoilt at the moment.
Poor Mrs Weahās Cousin
Holy mother of he that canāt be named, such a thing exists? What kind of warped perverted mind could design such a thing and where would you get one? (Asking for a friend)
