The Masters 2017

Don’t want to lose the first Major of the year in amongst trivia.

Gary Player & Jack Nicklaus have managed to hit the ceremonial first Tee shots after an emotion filled but simple remembrance of Arnold Palmer. (Gulp)

Game on, there will be limited TV coverage via online streams of certain holes and groups until full coverage begins for you guys around 8pm UK time.

How could Dustin fall downstairs the night before such an event (some people) would ask, puts SPieth & Rory right back into contention in the betting if he doesn’t make it to the Tee on time.

Enjoy the weekend hackers!

Nope I’m not asking as my missus fell down the stairs on the morning of our wedding when the heal on her shoe broke. Despite her best efforts we were married in The Bugle Street Registry Office later that morning…on a Friday so I wouldn’t miss the home game the next day. :lou_lol:

…but I digress.

Strong start by Thomas Pieters.

Sullivan the piss head & Martin Kaymer (What a nice guy for a German)

4 English golfers in the top 5 positions.

That won’t last!

And Dustin pulls out.

Want a sure fire bet for next year?

Bet on DJ renting a Bungalow next year

(Thanks to the Been for that)

And I took Sergio out of my fantasy team at the last minute

Doh

@dubai_phil Who is the money on to win then?

Every cell in the body screams Spieth - his short game is just perfect for Augusta.

Rory IMHO has left himself too much to do - he could put in a 65 but think there are too many ahead of him in the pack now to get past all of them.

Justin has done it before - remember the Olympics.

But then after being subjected to my extreme discipline, hypnosis techniques (and under armour), Sergio is a different ball game this year.

Karma decrees he should win it on the weekend of Seve’s 60th birthday. He is good enough, he should have won a major and now he is engaged he does appear mentally stringer and more relaxed

Fridge full of OSH.

Dodgy judder vision stream of BBC2.

Late morning first meeting.

All sorted for one of the best golf nights of the year.

Justin not making any putts but hanging on.

Spieth seemingly fighting the demons again.

Fowler hanging around but one wobble from a meltdown.

Nobody really on the charge apart from Kaymer but he’s too far back.

And Sergio. The man who played in pitch darkness here in Dubai is bumbling round with a smile on his face & a couple ahead.

Hope he does it

Sergio would be great. Always liked him and have money on him. Tried to do a double on the win and a hole in one on the 16th. Wouldn’t let me. Shame as it was 285/1

Is it just me or does Justin look like an ice warrior from Dr Who in those glasses?

If anyone finds a set of rails laying around can you send them to Sergio as he’s come off them.

Everyone falling away. Can Justin keep his head together? It must be his to lose now

Sergio is back(assuming he makes the putt).

I’m really conflicted here: as an Englishman I’m rooting for Rose but on the other hand I’d love to see Garcia win his first major.

Same for a lot of us I would think. Walking around like Ryder cup partners is nice to see.

Golf eh? Bloody hell.

Totally agree with you Halo. But great for the European Tour whoever wins.

Fact is though Sergio gave us one of our greatest on course moments this year at the Desert Classic when we jogged down the 18th in complete darkness and he made a birdie after we’d walked 31 holes.

He didn’t need to take the risk but kept going was amazing stuff.
