šŸ„ƒ The Rum Thread

The town is a hole Nottarf but the collection of beach guys and bungalow complexes in Otres village & Otres 2 are heaven.

Not seen that type of pizza but there were lots of Happy Pizza places in Siem apparently.

All we can smell on the beach are herbs

Who needs rum?

Something for you rumboys to read

Sorry @intiniki

My post wasnā€™t meant to exclude women, it was a homophobic post where ā€œrumboysā€ sounded like ā€œbumboysā€.

Thanks for the clarity. I think.

I may be a lot of things but Iā€™m not a misogynist! I love women. Itā€™s just the gays Iā€™m less keen on. And blacks.

Tickets now on sale!

We should definitely form an attack squadron.

Up for this. I also want the golden tot tokens(lotā€™s of them).

Quorhum 30 turned up yesterday. Itā€™s very drinkable. Will bring a hip flask with me to the Fulham game for anyone that wants to try it.

Yum

i have been conspicuously absent from this thread, mainly because I needed a rum sabbatical. Turns out you can have too much of a good thing.

Back on it in feb

Try La Hechicera Solera 21(m&s have it).

I normally like the smooth demerara rums. This one isnā€™t, but itā€™s dragging me back again and again. Prunes, expresso and tobacco flavours. Very nice and about Ā£35-40

I am waiting on a delivery of a Brugal 1888 and a Matusalem 23 gran reserva which reads like nectar from the gods ,going on this review.

Nose: Fresh honey and golden syrup. Crunchy almonds. Cedar wood.

Palate: Creamy and rich, with plenty of fruit joining the sweet, sugary notes.

Finish: Spiced and lasting on the finish. Overall: One to savour and enjoy neat.

If it can deliver this, iā€™m in heaven at under Ā£50 a bottle.

Approve is an understatement. I donā€™t think thereā€™s another bottle at the same price that compares. Ā£33 a bottle and itā€™s smooth, rich and leaves an almost peat whisky clean aftertaste.

If anything proves we are an intelligent species, itā€™s El Dorado rum.

Me and the old man nearly had a catastrophe the other day.

The maid was sent shopping for Tanduay rum and came back empty handed ā€œ non availbleā€ she says,

The driver was then despatched to the next city and 5 botttles duly arrived.

Dry throats averted.
