The Sotonians Transfers Thread

Clearly lessons have been learnt from the Fonte saga on how to ask for a pay rise at Saints…

of course they’d have to offer him more, the job was for director of football, the equivalent of Les’ job. It would be a big promotion for him. Plus you would need the incentive to join a shit league and move hundred of miles to Scotland.

Edited for you Fats. :lou_wink_2:

He’s scottish so he probably doesn’t think of it as a shit league.

The point I was making was that for once, someone hasn’t jumped ship as soon as extra money and big promises were waived under his nose … which is a bit of a rarity for us and welcome news

I’m not sure there is enough money in the world to make me move to Glasgow. It’s even shittier than Liverpool.

Ah but when you were 33 you might have considered it for 3 or 400k extra pa

Those figures are a complete guess but you know what I mean

I think at 33 you’d hold out for a move to Derby. Just think of the night life - big draw to someone of that age.

Both great cities, tyvm.

Glasgow could follow Liverpool’s example on ye olde sectarianism though.

Linked with Joe Hart in the currant bun :lou_surprised: Yes please!:

I can’t stand Joe hart. I can’t think of too many other footballers who I despise more.

£20m would be the bargain of the century if their stats are correct.

Iheanacho joined City in January 2014 and after an initial loan spell in the MLS made an impact last season scoring 8 times in 26 Premier League appearances plus _another 60 goals in _ 9 _ other appearances. _

Oh how we moaned when we bought a proven EPL Striker for 12 mil (Shlong)

We’re now asking 7 mil for Sam Gallagher.

Which begs the question …

Shouldn’t we wait for new manager?

Who has decided he won’t have a future with us?

Does this mean we aren’t selling JRod or Shlong

Oooh are we going to bring in a new striker?

etc

Well it wont be Defoe. He is off to Bournemouth on a free.

‘Free’.…let’s see his wage demands…

£20m over 3 years including a £6m signing on fee, so roughly £90k a week…

Why didn’t the black box pick out this little fella for us? £38m for a 16 year old. Why is the world like this?
