“He could have been our Tony Pulis”

Sir Fry of Complete Bollocks, scourge of SaintsWeb.

Doh! :lou_facepalm_2:

Will teach the lying fucker. Nice to see a Club come out on top.

Anyone fancy summarising the salient points for those of us browsing on mobile phones?

as you were, found the link to the story on the Been.

what a total shyster

I only skipped through but I believe he was due a bonus if he stayed until the end of August.

He told them he needed to buy some land so could he have it a bit early please - had £2m early and resigned the next day.

Looks like he now owes them £3.7m + his legal fees.

What a bumhole.

It could be worse for him, he could have Eric Bristow handling his PR.

Eric’s right.

When Pulis gets older he should go back and sort Crystal Palace out like a man.

Fucking hell, I just read what Bristow said. What a chopper.

The “Craft Cockney” will be telling us that darts is a proper sport soon. The man is a twat of longstanding.

what did he say?

Check it out on Twitter but he basically sounds like an offensive comedy character from 1972 - which he is.

Apparently darts players are real men who would beat up poofs (he means kiddie fiddlers but he doesn’t understand the difference).

This from a bloke who spent his career with Cock written on his back - suddenly it all makes sense.

This is the long and short of it

Former darts world champion Eric Bristow has suggested football abuse victims are not “proper men” - and has been condemned on social media.

More than 20 ex-footballers have come forward with allegations of historical child sex abuse in the sport, and five police forces are investigating claims.

But Bristow, 59, questioned why they did not “sort out” their abusers “when they got older and fitter”.

One of the ex-players, Steve Walters, was “disgusted” by Bristow’s remarks.

Writing on Twitter, Bristow, who was made an MBE in 1989, said darts players were “tough guys” and footballers “wimps”.

He added the victims should not be able to look themselves in the mirror for not “getting their own back” on their abusers in adulthood.

Several former footballers have waived their right to anonymity in order to go public and raise awareness of alleged historical abuse in football, a step which has won praise from politicians, sport administrators and abuse charities.

Walters has alleged he was abused as a youth player by convicted paedophile and former Crewe coach Barry Bennell.

People his age are lethal for saying stuff without thinking it through. If you’re in the public eye, loaded and have a following, I expect that could be even worse. Thing is, he’s probably been like that his entire life, spouting shite in front of people, who probably either laugh with him or come to the conclusion that he’s a bit simple, and didn’t really intend to equate homosexuality and paedophilia, hoping he quietly bins the topic and moves onto something else.

That doesn’t happen on social media. He’s not just chatting shit with the lads in the pub. He’s talking to the entire world. Too many people fall foul of this online. Relatively unchallenged in their real life environments, they post bollocks on social media and have an expectation that people will agree with them, to the extent where they’re taken aback when dissent rolls in. Toddlers with shotguns spring to mind.

Most of the time, the blast radius harms just a couple of embarrassed relatives, who might quietly enquire if their wayward kin wouldn’t mind shutting the fuck up, if only internally. Not really an option for celebs, especially a celebrated multi-time world hobby champion like Bristow.

One can only hope the contagion doesn’t spread to snooker.

blimey, what an asshat.

Forgive me , but how is this linked to Pulis or is this what is described as “off topic”?

It was Rallyboy that started it

My fault - being ‘clever’ and topical to give the thread a seamless link to something else.

Anyway - how the fuck is Pulis going to afford that?

He must be well off, but there is a limit.

c’mon, how much interest would he have made on that £2m by now if invested wisely. It seems obvious he didn’t need it, just wanted it before he screwed Palarse over.
