Fucking brilliant.

That’s going in the political wank bank.

Oh, that’s brilliant

The clip or the concept of Pap jerking off to Andrew Neil?

Both to be fair. For very different personal reasons :kissing_heart:

LOL

Hilarious that this Czech guy who is the Sun and Daily Mail’s source for this nonsense also claims that the Czech Government organized Live Aid and the Nelson Mandela birthday tribute concert.

So he’s not a delusional nutter then!

As apologies go they don’t get much more grovelling than that. And he has to make a substantial donation to a homeless charity and a food bank. Making a right wing Tory gobshite give money to a foodbank is really sweet. That will really hurt. Nice one Corby.

Apparently the text of the apology had to be agreed with Labour first - hence the addition of the please retweet text which has ensure that this has gone viral.

Apparently £871m of the housing budget hasn’t been spent. Wtf. Why the heck am I having to sort our people’s accommodation and it comes out of social care budgets when there that much floating around.

There needs to be a mass building project of affordable council houses across the country. London is an extreme example but Bristol even rental prices are outstripping wages hugely.

maybe they could try filling all the empty ones first, or would that cause the housing market to crash?

Not sure if you’re joking

I’m not sure either Ted, I don’t really understand it to be honest and it was an attempt at sarcasm based on an assumption. If the housing market was suddenly flooded with 216,000 homes, would that essentially cause a huge fall in house and rent prices? Would the government want that to happen? Is there a reason why they aren’t letting it happen? It’s too late and I’ve had too many beers to be thinking about this stuff, it might tip me over the edge into baileys territory.

Who will build these houses? There aren’t enough tradesmen to keep up with demand as it is.

Sam will build them @goatboy

Get the Chinese in!

If memory serves me right I stayed at a Cuban friend’s sister’s house which she built with help. It was no shack but properly built. People had been trained and supported to build their own homes in Cuba. I’ve seen something like this on Grand Designs near Brighton (?). Skill up people, build their own houses with support, maybe they stick around longer on their own homes and they’ve put a lot into it too.

May be a bit of a longer process but then we’d also have some skilled tradespeople to go on a build some more for others?
