I, sadly, have family members who post this crap. The wonderful irony is that one of my uncles gets on great with my wife, but when she lived in England he used to post the standard āimmigrants are ruining my country crapā. In the end I lost patience and pointed out to him that both my wife and I are or have been immigrants and that perhaps he should consider carefully what it is heās trying to say!

I see it all the time. My maternal grandfather is from Pakistan, so weāve got a lot of that influence in our family. We did the integration thing, so people donāt really think of us as immigrants, which means they forget when they post their racist crap.
Almost always the older generation, sadly. I actually had to say to ms papās dad āyou do realise when you have a go at immigrants that youāre knocking your own grandkids?ā. Heās getting better. In amongst the racist crap he sometimes posts something for social justice. Progress.
Nice

The CEO of Turing pharmaceuticals who made headlines for trying to jack up the price of a life-saving drug from $13.50 to $750 was arrested on charges that stem from his time as CEO of biotech firm Retrophin Inc.
The 32-year-old entrepreneur made headlines in September when he raised the price of life-saving drug Daraprim from $13.50 to $750. After days public outrage, Shkreli announced he would lower the price in order to make the drug āmore affordable.ā
According to Bloomberg, who broke the news, Shkreli was arrested early Thursday at his home in Manhattan and charged with illegally taking stock from Retrophin Inc. and using it to pay off debts relating to his now-defunct hedge fund MSMB Captial Management.
Shkreli started Retrophin Inc. in 2011 but was ousted from the company by its board of directors in September 2014. He was later sued by the board for misuse of company funds.
Shkreli is accused of misusing Retrophin funds to allegedly pay off millions in debts to investors of MSMB Capital Management, Bloomberg reported.
