I noticed someone on facebook earlier refer to writing a cheque. It made me wonder who still uses them these days, old people I guess.

I did until very recently as my hairdresser didnāt take cards. But now sheās set up something using her phone that means I can pay her electronically. A one-off was when I paid for my grandsonās school uniform - the school didināt accept cards either.
I am old school. I pay off my credit cards every month with cheques. I dont like online banking.

I wrote a cheque in September for some liability insurance. I used an old cheque book for Abbey National and wondered if that was an issue. Apparently not. My mum is always writing cheques as she isnāt keen on internet banking. She is sure someone will steal her identity.
Please. Make it a stiff one.

About a month ago to pay my water bill.
