My poll creating skills are still subpair and I accidentally activated the poll when trying to enter that option. I was also planing to include MLG and couldn’t because I had already activated.
MLGs problem is that he comes across as if he is well along the spectrum. Probably the biggest pedant I have ever come across on forums, and that is saying something. Alpine’s Mr Angry persona is always good for a laugh in small measures but does grate after a while. He is nothing if not consistant. Fry clearly has some narsissistic stuff going on and seems to get off on belittling people. I have gone for Guan for while he is clearly batshit crazy he does seem to be ITK and it is great to think of someone so unhinged being close to the working of the club.
I seem to be in the minority with C B Fry and alone in thinking he is just a jumped up internet bully and a prize jerk. Over the years I have been on various forums and log on to read the gossip about the football club I support and to join in with some friendly banter. I dont like to read posts where people are just trying to make themselves bigger by belittling others or to be on the end of that behaviour. We all get wound up by others and sometimes overreact, but to come on each day looking for targets to attack (I guess it is know as trolling) is something that shouldnt be tolerated, especially when it goes too far, as it often does. You expect this stuff with kids, but it doesnt sit right when grown men with children behave like hormonal teenagers. I know I sound like a true sadoldgit, but I still believe that you can have a laugh without behaving like a total cunt.

Not sure why being on the ‘sprectrum’ is a ‘problem’. I spend an awful lot of my time around people with Asperger’s (not on here, I hasten to add) and they’re the easiest to get along with in the usual give-and-take of life. MLG may be a pedant but he’s also mostly right. The ‘problem’ is the vitriolic and churlish responses which seem to follow even the most innocuous of his posts.

Tsk. How long have you been on Internet forums? Long enough to know that “on the spectrum” is the go-to way to say “you’re mad, but it’s not your fault. Look at how benevolent we are for understanding”.
Well, if you were that fucking good, chaps, you’d presumably be on a huge doctor’s salary. What are you doing all day on an Internet forum? Haven’t you got patients to see?
I didnt mean it in a pergortive sense although I did used to work with someone with similar issues and it was a nightmare. Apart from being in my office every five minutes explaining why their colleagues were doing everything wrong, they also had no social skills and would often bring unfounded complaints against their workmates and myself. I am sure MLG is a perfectly nice chap and is just overly dilligent.
Being right in itself is not a “problem.” What does become irritating is being picked up every five minutes because you said Mick Channon scored 25 goals in one season when in fact he scored 26 (please dont check, it is just a guess for an example). There are some things you should just let go.
Although he doesnt post very often, my favourite would be Minty. His arse must be full of splinters with all that fence sitting but a more even handed poster would be hard to find. From the voting so far it seems that the folks here prefer a more aggressive, combative type of poster though (the ones I came here to get away from ).
