Just looking at how the fixtures fall after the 2 legs of the semi. Liverpool have Man U the Sunday after the first leg and Chelsea the weekend after the second leg.
Could they be more interested in the league than the league cup?

Only if Klopp is delusional. The league cup is by far their best hope of silverware. They are far too porous to ever win the league(this post will disappear if they do).
He does come across as a bit delusional though, so it’s possible. Get Pap to spread a rumour around Liverpool that Klopp only cares about the cup and doesn’t give a shit about the league. Might work. Fake news is the in thing.
I still think they’ll do us over two legs but those fixtures will certainly help our cause, particularly with Mane away on Afcon duty.
