Off to see Kasabian at the King Power on Saturday. Should be a bit of a party atmosphere thatā€™s for sure!

Iā€™m going with Mrs RB to see Adam Ant tomorrowā€¦

Today she put on some of the Kings of the Wild Frontier album and I was horrified to discover that it is fucking awful.

Sheā€™s not a fan of me giving a running commentary on the plot and acting shortcomings of Eastenders, so I will summon best behaviour tomorrow and remain silent as her beloved dandy nutcase shreds his own back catalogue.

Ridicule is nothing to be scared of, The RaleighBoy.

I donā€™t drink, donā€™t smoke.

What do you do?

is he ok nowadays? Iā€™m sure he had some pretty serious mental health issues a while back.

The RaleighBoy is dealing with them Fatstuff, but I think heā€™d prefer not to discuss them on the forum.

Subtle innuendos follow.

Heading to Common People this weekend. Anyone else?

This was excellent. Stood by the sound desk so I had something to lean on and could stop people crashing into my knackered knee.

Been wanting to see them for years, and to do so for the first time at one of my favourite venues was brilliant. Was a good set, as youā€™d expect plenty of stuff from the new album and a good smattering of stuff from the other albums. It was still Radiohead, so it wasnā€™t ā€˜all the hitsā€™ - but still good fun.

Also, a certain Steve Davis was stood next to us. No, not our NI Superstar. The snooker player, and now DJ (playing Glasto, btw!).

Adam Ant wasnā€™t as bad as I feared - he threw a lot of guitar at it.

The whole audience was up - apart from row Aā€¦what is that about?

Iā€™m so keen on this act I get the best tickets, but I refuse to even tap my feet!

Bloody media!

Yup. Zero interest in the music other than Lonely The Brave (and a decent Southampton-based metal band in Our Hollow, Our Home) but itā€™s a fun little festival thatā€™s only 15-minutes walk from where I live. Throw in some sunshine (we hope) and it seems mental to miss it.

As I have said before, would love to see Duran Duran again. So tempted to pop down from Hertfordshire tomorrow!

We are off to Happy Days as a birthday surprise for Mrs RB - it should be synthtastic.

Human League, Heaven 17, Mark Almond, Kid Creole - for younger members of the forum, these people are from the 80s.

As many of us are.

I used to love Kid Creole and the Coconuts.

Here he is resplendent in polo-neck trousersā€¦

I saw him at Wickham a couple of years back - he was still cool.

Annie, Iā€™m not your Daddy.

See if I was in your blood, then you wouldnā€™t be so ugly.

Love it

At Common People. Seems way busier this year. And that means the bars arenā€™t coping and the queues to the loos are long. Ah festivals. Partner is in queue to the bar and Public Enemy are just about to go on. Wait for him or go?

Just back from Kasabian in Leicester. You could tell it was mainly football fans as the crowd was mental. Did feel like we had gate crashed a party a little, but very high spirited.

Very good show by the Kasabian boys, but thatā€™s it Leicester City, you have had far to much fun!
