Resignation to watching Glamorgan, Gloucestershire and Essex next season, Iā€™m afraid.

Any idea what the story is behind Coles return to Kent?

No. But suspect he lumped someone. Will try and speak to people I know who will know the real reason.

Cheers, it would be interesting to find out what was behind it - I see that heā€™s Kentā€™s leading wicket-taker this season with 31, albeit Div 2. Mind you, I find it hard to believe heā€™d have done less of a job for us in Div 1 than some of our bowlers have done so far this season.

We have a lead, we have a lead

Yeah, but thereā€™s still a minimum of 26 overs left.

Cā€™mon Halo, 6 runs and 4 wickets is massive, well it would be if England were batting the other end.

Bob, Iā€™m on the horns of a dilemma.

Iā€™m supposed to meet Mrs Stickman at one of her stupid work functions in about half an hour; she said itā€™s optional whether or not I go, but Iā€™ve told her I would, so sheā€™ll be a bit annoyed if I donā€™t go ā€¦ but with 4 wickets left and about 20 overs still to go, the cricket is getting very exciting and I donā€™t want to miss it.

What should I do?

Well, itā€™s now a 39 run lead and 4 wickets, if it were me I would go support Mrs Stickman, especially if Mrs Stickman scare the bejesus out of you like Mrs BTripz does meā€¦

Was the CORRECT answer, Bob!

Very comforting to discover a chap as scared as upsetting his wife as I am.

As for Hampshire, donā€™t want to paper over the cracks but I was very pleased with the way they battled for that draw; credit to Wheater, Smith and Berg.

Well, what a day so far at the cricket!

Hants 392 all out. Wheater makes a century from just 82 balls and then poor Berg is run out for 99.

This match has got more highs and lows than octoporn fā€™sure Harry.

This canā€™t be right, can it??

Know what you mean, Bob!

I donā€™t want to count chickens before they hatch and end up with egg all over my face but I reckon we should get our first FC win of the season today.

Not only that, but with Wheater and Berg carrying their good form over from the previous match, Vince finally playing a decent knock and Edwards starting to motor Iā€™m hopeful that this may be a turning point in our season!

Cue the Sussex lower order scoring 500 without loss today. :slight_frown:

Uh Oh

Great win!

Very pleased for young Terry.

Just need to build on this now.

Itā€™s a shame that we donā€™t have a 4-day game next week and after that we are going to be without Fidel for the next few weeks, as he is going back to play for Barbados in their T20 comp.

Yeah, that is a shame - I didnā€™t realise that Fidel was gonna be away for a few weeks.

Still, Iā€™m feeling a little more optimistic after today.

I guess some credit must go to the management for the 3 changes they made, although it appears that Bird was a little erratic at times - mind, Iā€™m only going from the text feed when I say that.

Great win tonight at Canterbury in the T20.

18 over game. Kent 183-5 after Blake battered us again. James Vince batted right through, scoring 99* and hit the winning runs off the penultimate ball. Shame he only hit it for 4 as he dosenā€™t have a T20 ton. Yet.

Great performance by Vince to put us top of the T20 South Group!

Thatā€™s twice in succesive games where one of our players has missed out on a ton by the narrowest of margins.
