Oh dear… last league win came with a finely crafted comedy title by yours truely, allowing me to relinquish the role undefeated. We have not won a league game since… when the thread starters tried to make it serious, and 'all manly and ‘fighting talk’ and L2 old school manager cliche ridden pep talk… surely we leave the serious ‘cliched’ stuff to SWF and its obsessive window lickers?
You have been warned gentlemen … I weep at the impending doom.
Bletch, pass me the green tea
Alas, I fear for CD in the ‘house’ with a killer on the loose…
We perhaps needed a more fearsome and aggressive thread title… something like
Time to shit on the seagulls head after they’ve nicked our chips, KO 3pm etc etc
Scare them into submission and rile us up to victory, because obviously both sets of players check this site out to see how the fame is likely to pan out…
Good thinking BUT, the way hodgepodge “defended” from the front so well AND still got into goal scoring positions makes me thing that the “wiser” option alongside Gabadabadooi would be Irish bloke on FIre IF we want to be more attacking.
Equally how on earth can anyone consider leaving Hodge out at the moment when he is playing so well?
And we don’t know whether we bought the Tony Christie or Peter Kay version of Amarillo yet so wouldn’t start him Wednesday.
Dont mess with these forces of doom and fateDizzy. The are more powerful than you can ever imagine… The wooo shit is maybe total and utter bollock, but I bet you still wear you lucky pants to games. Fatso always has his lucky wank in the Itchen under his coat before the match.
You can add Leonardo Ulloa to that list as well now.
If we are going to win this we will need to ensure that our back four does not spend an extraordinary amount of time defending inside our 18 yard box. I don’t rate Stephens or Yoshida in the air, and likewise Cedric is about 2 foot tall, so we will need to play on the front foot regardless of the scoreline, with as high a line as possible. So tactics and substitutions like Saturday are out of the question for me.
All I know is the amount of headed goals conceded this season when Yoshida has contested them, or not as the case may be, has cost us many points. Please don’t make me list them again!
I also think you’ll find Jeremy Pied is head and shoulders above the lot of them in aerial duels won
