In Barry’s absence I’ll take up the mantle and say that I’m not loving Bednarek so far. Looks very awkward.
Conceding two headers from central areas is not doing anything to change my view that we need to add another experienced quality centre half (regardless of VVD).
Also a proper attacking central midfielder to link up the play. Not a winger who plays inside.
Goal scorer left completely unmarked from a stunning free kick into the box, so all he had to do was head it vaguely towards Forster and it was a goal*.
*Actually there wasn’t much Forster could have done for any of the goals. A world-class keeper might have got closer to a couple of them.
As I said there’s still plenty of time for us to sell a couple of players before the window shuts.
Not feeling the magic of the new bloke at the moment, to be honest.
