A nice, neutral MOTD tonight. Think it could well be one of those episodes where the speculation is as interesting as the football.
Sherwood, surely, has to be on his way out. I know heās got stuff in mitigation, such as lots of players being sold from under him, but he admitted last week that his plan was to ājust keep swingingā. That is not a plan, not even for committed swingers, who would at least manage their urges with contraception and embarrassing trips down to the VD clinic. I just donāt think he knows what to do next.
Mourinho has got to be the most successful manager in history that the jury is still out on. His teams donāt play especially nice football, but he has nearly always been able to point to results, something he canāt do now, so heās having a go at officials, or members of his team instead. You could make a good guess, given the history of player revolts at Chelsea, at what is going on there. I reckon heās probably pushed his luck too far, and heās reaching his limit of three years at any one club before everybody gets fucked off with him. As good as he is, results have been shit, the only recent joy coming against Tim ākeep swingingā Sherwood.
Not the best endorsement.
Anyone that gets those results with players such as Fabregas, Matic, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Costa, Bony etc etc deserves to get their stupid ass sacked.
