Asylum seekers made to wear coloured wristbands

Last week, Parliamentarians were debating whether Donald Trump should be allowed in, largely off the back of some very dodgy stuff he’d said about the identification of Muslims.

Asylum seekers in Cardiff are being issued with brightly coloured wristbands that they must wear at all times, in a move which echoes the “red door” controversy in Middlesbrough and has resulted in their harassment and abuse by members of the public.

Newly arrived asylum seekers in the Welsh capital who are housed by Clearsprings Ready Homes, a private firm contracted by the Home Office, are being told that they must wear the wristbands all the time otherwise they will not be fed. The wristbands entitle the asylum seekers, who cannot work and are not given money, to three meals a day.

yeah that was on radio just now, “it’s just like making Jews wear Yellow Stars in Nazi Germany”. No, it’s not. It really isn’t.

I actually find these stories bit annoying, cos I don’t spose you’d have to work hard to find out there’s a perfectly rational explanation. I.e. the wristbands is clearly just to get the queues moving.

And the red doors. The fucking red doors. I bet if you looked into it you’d find out the reason, and it wouldn’t be, “so everyone know where the migrant cunts is living.” It’ll be i.e. the Council was doing up the houses to make them nice for the asylum bros, and the Council Contractor happened to have a job lot of red paint. Probably, thinking about it, they got it off Portsmouth Council from the Spinaker Twr hilarities.

How many perfectional rational coincidences do there have to be before it seems likely that some authorities wish to identify a certain group of people at times other than just when they need to speed up queues?

Permanent wristbands sound over the top to me and whatever the benefits to the private companies running these schemes of painting doors red, or tagging, people are being identified and abused as a result, so it is inhuman.

you always see the worst in ppl, rallyboy. Ur worse than pap. You credit Government with being far more Machiavelli than they have any right to. I’ve seen Government, and particular Local Government, and it’s a bunch of dumbasses who couldn’t get job in Private Sector. They don’t have plans, they don’t have schemes, they have, oh, what’s that? What colour do we want the doors painted? I dunno. Does it matter? Red? Sounds fine. They ain’t got the brains to think, hold on, ain’t all the other doors in that road Blue?

Yeah I normally see the worst in bad people.

Worse than Pap sounds a bit harsh though, I haven’t reached the frothing-at-the-mouth stage yet.

It’s just a temporary phase. Proper frothers eventually learn to “froth in their head”, like when one of your kids learns to read without vocalising.

It’s a good system! They probably started off with checking everyone’s tickets & passports every time they wanted a Sambuca, but found it caused hold ups at Point Of Sale. Then they tried having ur drinks delivered under dead of night by ninjas, so no-one would know you was a Package Pikey, but having a lot of ninjas hanging about the pool caused problems of it’s own. Then they hit upon the w-band system. Winner!

Someone has to stand fucking firm, Bear.

I was on the other place the other day. Verbal was happily chatting away with holepuncture about immigration after the latter had once again referred to foreigners as vermin.

Verbs didn’t protest then, so on the behalf of Verb’s rellies, I say “fuck you holepuncture, you racist cunt”.

Is that like waterboarding the bastards?

Thing is Bear, they aren’t council properties. They are contracted off to G4S, and then again to developers.

The case of the red doors involves a millionaire developer that is one of the biggest contract holders. So in other words, taxpayers make millionaires out of arseholes that at in this manner. Brilliant.

Oh. I’m ok with that aspect of it really. I’m not against bros making money. It would prob have been cheaper just to give the Asylum bros a pile of bricks + some red paint, but i spose it’s prob better to have accredited professionals do the work.

They dont need wrist bands to be identified. If you read the daily offering by a certain caped poster on another forum you will know that migrants can be identified easily through the following behaviour: getting a bit rapey with the ladies, defecating in swimming pools, openly masturbating in public etc.

Don’t be too hard on the boy. He’s got clear problems with people of different origins and the poor cunt lives in Camden.

I used to be given a wristband to wear when I went swimming at the Rec and there was a coloured light display which would flash when your time was up and you had to leave. But this was about 30 years ago, well before Asylum Seekers were invented, so I guess wristbands have a different meaning now.
