I agree that knee jerk reactions are best avoided.

Having said that, I’m pretty sure that when I wake up tomorrow I will still feel that that was a very poor performance, and will feel sorry for those Saints fans that paid all that money to go and watch it.

When we are a proper big club I will get pissed off. For now though, I’m just disappointed.

Thats my point we should be angry and show a bit of passion, that was shite, a club of our size should be seizing these opportunties not fucking them off as a distraction, and it it wasn’t a distraction why was that so shite?

Played far more frequently than we have in Europe as well.

I can justify it in my mind because we fielded a team that bore little resemblance to the team we fielded last year.

TA fucked off, NC fucked off, FF fucked, RB fucked, MS fucked off, VW fucked / wants to fuck off.

I’m not surprised we’re struggling.

Any team that loses Schneiderlin and tries to play the same way will be exposed. Any team that changed formation to make itself more defensively solid because Schneiderlin is not there, will lack creativity.

I think we all agreed that Morgan would be missed, and I think we can all agree that he is.

It doesn’t stop me being very disappointed though.

Go back to the original question then? Newcastle have won more and been more frequently in Europe, wrong answer and not even subjective, try again because I can’t think of one.

Too vague, and I know I am opening a can of worms but…

  1. Define a time period in years (last 150, last 100, last 50, last 25, last 10,??)

  2. Define “our size” - or if it’s easier, define the clubs that are “bigger” than us to at least narrow the field a little.

Sunderland are bigger… They have not done much!

Well their ground is bigger, but they are probably about level parr, if not just above us!

Norwich won the League Cup in 85 and I wouldn’t say they are bigger than us, Sunderland are bigger than us but have won more in their history, the simple thing is for a club our size (medium in England) is we have won so little in our history, we have some great acheivements but a very poor record of actually winning things, smaller clubs have won far more than we have. It really pisses me off we have won so little,I can’t think of any.
