Sometimes I Miss The Other Place

I paid a brief visit a few minutes ago and I can clearly see where we are going wrong.

Can we pick on a Saints player and kick the shit out of him?

Are you talking about the JWP abuse? Just had a nose.

Yepā€¦almost tempted to comment but I know not to piss into a gale.

I canā€™t help myself. Some of the moronic comments are unbelievable!

ā€˜We need more young talentā€™

ā€˜why do we sign players who block the path for youngstersā€™

ā€˜weā€™re losing our English coreā€™

ā€˜That young talented English player from our academy should be at least as good as Aguero by now! Uselessā€™

Idiots.

I do wonder where it comes from. I mean, even if you thought JWP happened to be pants, and you turned out to be right, whereā€™s the crowning glory?

ā€œSee, I told you JWP wuz bobbins. Iā€™m fucking skilful, meā€.

I take it that Iā€™m in a minority to being in the ā€œJWP isnā€™t really that goodā€ on here then?..what do you see that I donā€™t?

Someone whoā€™s already been in and around the Premier League and has still got four or five years to find his best.

Hopefully heā€™ll find his best, but Iā€™m not too confident tbh.

I think itā€™s a question of expectations as much as anything. If JWP turns out to be a reasonable player then I donā€™t see the problem. Heā€™s evidently good enough for our team and manager at the moment even if heā€™s not showing us that heā€™s the next Bale/Schneiderlin.

The kid has time to develope, as long as he develops NOW. I definitely donā€™t think we should panic, but fuck it!!! We need to do the headless chicken run right NOW!

Sure, he really does need to develop his game more, but his free kicks have always been exceptional. However, we rarely score from them. Who is to blame there? the person who delivered the perfect ball, or the players on the receiving end?

In time, he will be better in open play, and the other team members will hopefully make the most of his most obvious asset.

We really DO need to excercise some patience here.

The one which infuriated me most was ā€œIā€™d have Ben Reeves back, far better playerā€

Too often for me, when heā€™s in posession and someones making a good forward run to pass to, he doesnā€™t spot it, heā€™s too quick to go for the easy pass back or sidewaysā€¦heā€™s not a top player, and if he does end up playing regularly for England then that says it all about our aspirations as a football nation.

Gotta love the haters. If it wasnā€™t JWP, some other poor sod would be getting it.

Iā€™ll have a lash

Yoshi is a cunt. Talentless twat, canā€™t head, canā€™t defend, poor manā€™s Jos hooiveld

JWP ā€¦if selected by the manager RKā€¦THEN THAT IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME.

Like most on here and that other strange placeā€¦we know nuthin. :astonished:

We all have opinions and share with others are font of knowledgeā€¦fair enough

But some of the so called footer experts are ripping into JWP :slight_frown:

He is a Saints player and whilst in our team will get my full support.

IFā€¦RK could just take him, Steve Davis and bg Victor for shooting practiceā€¦it would help.

Youā€™re spoiling it by being respectful of other peopleā€™s opinion and having a reasonable point of view.

There are only a handful of posters over there that have the slightest idea what they are talking about.

Most are of the Pastor Patron level of footie knowledge.

I saw Morgan play at Exeter many years agoā€¦he was useless and I said so.

Slightly better midfield during second halfā€¦they played him centre back in the first halfā€¦useless.

But the management at different times saw the talent and turned that ugly duckling into a swan.

JWP is obviously very talented but did go off the boil in those young England gamesā€¦last two not even selected in the starting eleven.

I believeā€¦number of games for Saints/young England and wear and tearā€¦I noticed he was not fully fitā€¦struggling second half versus Vitesseā€¦even though as a team we were only at about 75%.

If used/trained correctly he will come back into full throttle and be a very good team/squad player for us this coming season.

RK will sort him outā€¦when he gets back on his feet

Sorry Goatboy, Iā€™m not gonna toe the party line, JWP is not really as good as you and others think he is.

I have my reservations about JWP. Not least that he is so slow that he looks like he is buffering.

My point about the footie knowledge of most posters over there stands though
