I’ve had a full on week, and now my brain is frazzled. I don’t even want beer, just a dark room!

How was your week?

Some of us are still at work lou.

Some of us work weekends :frowning:

+1 It took me bout an hour in the morning to do my day’s work, but the cunts still make me stay till 17:30. Sometimes I feel like, the effort it takes to look busy for 9 hours every day, is prob more stressful + exhausting than if I was actually, genuinely working.

I still remember when they invented robots. “It will give workers more leisure time” they said.

Wankers!

I am too, Hypo. Sorry to hear that Twiggy… :frowning:

Extra tough when it’s sunny outside…

I remember our trades union telling us in the mid 70s that the working week would be reduced to 4 days by the end of the decade, and that by the end of the century it would be down to 3!

They lied!

Ha ha ha. Yes you can sometimes string out the day, but sometimes you plough through it and get it all done in the first couple of hours. I always feel really tired when trying to look busy, rather than actually doing work!

Mine has been busier than average. Picked the daughter up from Central London on Sunday morning, was in Bedfordshire on Tuesday and Wednesday before finally settling into a couple of normal days here. Agree with the sentiment of the OP though.

Don’t the burgers get cold?

Honestly, shit. A 15 year old student I teach committed suicide this week.

Finished with football in the park with my kids, two pints of Brooklyn lager and fish and chips returning a semblance of normality.

that’s grim bro, sorry to hear bout that.

Yeah, that is grim and puts everything into perspective.

Yeah, it does unfortunately. Just all round there’s no sense in it.

Way to kill a thread, too. Apologies.

No need to apologise - I doubt there’s one of us who hasn’t killed the odd thread or three over the years.

Besides, it’s difficult to put something as tragic as that to the back of your mind, especially when you know the person well.

Really busy week at work, and to cap it off I’m now on call until next Friday, so no beer for me!..which is a bit annoying when you’re driving around the forest and constantly seeing packed pub gardens atm

This is a very unusual Friday night for me - it’s usually my drinking night out with Mrs Stickman but she’s at a work function so i’m sat here with the live feed of the Hampshire v Sussex T20 match to the left of me, Papsweb to the front of me, and a few beers to the right of me.

It’s rather nice…

Had my beer quota. The better half is out and bad planning means I forgot more beers. Kids are in bed so I’m tied to the sofa with Papsweb and a games console for company.
