I am sure we will see the Pretenders too. Seen Chrissie on stage with Brandon Flowers a few times.
I now need to get flexi booked for the Wednesday as partner now wants to head down then rather than Thursday. It was his decision as he thinks we get too tired by Friday. Men eh? Cannot make up their minds.
The Glasto App now ready to download. In light of the current status of the UK I would recommend you do download it because (being an Event App person myself it contains a “Messaging system” which may be rather handy in event of say heavy rain or other shit)
The warning about enhanced security. Having been involved in that stuff, I have every confidence that we will be OK. At the end of the day EVERY ticket holder supplied a huge amount of personal data including Photos in order to get their tickets. Rest assured that every one of those details will have been checked by “The Authorities”
So the prep and planning for nutters to apply for tickets and take their ID’s with them makes it “difficult” not impossible. Plus every time I have been they really DO check your photo and ID. Equally each time I have gone by Camper Van it has been searched so
But end of the day Bags and Wheelbarrows will be searched so getting in on Wednesday will be a nightmare even BEFORE it rains. I’m sure some will moan but personally? Inconveniencing some lads trying to wheelbarrow 10 cases of cheap beer into the event is a small price to pay to help the security.
Now where did I put my old Kevlar Jacket sample?
Now, how to smuggle a thousands Power Banks into the place to pay for the trip?
FFS. Whatever happened to the days of simply sitting in Mud and Poo and enjoying the rain dripping down your neck while trying to light sidden “smokes”? Now we get homework to do? SRSLY?
Last year was my first Glastonbury and given Michael Eavis said it was the worst mud they’d ever seen I feel like I’m much better prepared for this one!
Going to take a look at clashfinder to try and plan it out, not that I will end up sticking to it once there
Last year was my 5th in a row. Yep that was some pretty bad mud. I have a bad back and trying to walk on the mud and find somewhere to sit was excruciating on the last day.
Here’s hoping it will be glorious sun this time around. Because when it is, it’s so so much easier.
In what is becoming something of an annoying tradition, 2 weeks out and KRG finds himself crippled. This time it’s my back that has gone. Praying it’s just a spasm that will settle down in a day or two.
On the plus side, the very nice doctor has prescribed me plenty of diazepam
I seem to be having my summer sinus infection now in time for it to clear up by Glastonbury. If my back goes like last time I will be searching for KRG and his meds.
I was rushed to hospital yesterday with severe pain in my abdomen. Turns out is an infection caused by reaction to the meds to try and minimise my cartridge tear.
Been surprised how my (3 month old) Samsung was burning battery life.
Went into settings and found that somehow system updates had added shit and changed app settings.
So 1st up reset to medium power saving, then blue light filter was turned off. That added 2 hours life.
Then discovered that almost every app had been reset to still be checking for updates even when not in use again went through and stopped the non critical ones. Boom another 3 hours.
Anyway 5 minutes of restoring stuff phone is fine and I added 7 hours battery life.
Also cleaned up the RAM and made sure the SD card has acres of space.
Should now get through each day and have overnight power available and couple of small 2200mwh power banks for emergency.
Worth the effort!
Can still switch to full power save mode as well on the day!
Meanwhile, I have of course packed already (overnight flight pretty much straight from work on Thursday) but with the look of the reports about the weather it seems that we could be heading for something as nightmarish as a muddy Glasto - a HOT Glasto.
Which means I now have to be prepared to head back into my wardrobes and look for Hot Weather gear as well as the Waterproof gear and the Cold at Night gear. May even have to pack some more of my magical Isotonic Pocari Sweat powder
Had a week from hell. Thought it was simply old age, but actually in hindsight is looking like a really unusual and nasty Virus.
Problems started with headaches - would not go away. Then excruciating pain in the abdomen. Onto Anti-Biotics which had side effects and hit Kidneys and joints.
Today discover that 2 others in the office and a mate are reporting similar symptoms ! And yeah I have layers @intiniki always do! It’s more the shorts I now have to pack!!
