Saints vs Manchester United. After a couple of disappointing years at home, albeit with a memorable away victory last season, the teams meet again on the South Coast.
I’ve been to this fixture for two years on the run now. I am expecting a very interesting game tomorrow, not least because of the people that happen to be missing at the moment. It’ll also be nice to have a former Saints great that we can give a clap to.
Wouldn’t really want to bet on the result, but I’ll tell you this for nowt. Schneiderlin will get a better reception than Lallana did, which let’s face it, was the stuff of fucking nightmares. I bet he still wakes up shivering now
We’ve been desperately unlucky against United at home since our PL return. However we also looked a better (or perhaps ‘better settled’) team unit in the last couple of seasons than at present.
Expecting a spirited display that results in nought. A goalmouth scramble concluded by a Van Gaal glare to turn it in for the winner.
Keep that other multi billion £££ teenager quiet and we might get something. Their defence needs a shuffle so just gives a chink of opportunity, but the centre mid battle will be essential, irrespective of which two Utd pick
